Heavy n Light. by parijatgaur Heavy n Light. by parijatgaur
My interpretation of Indian version of PAK-FA stealth fighter. As one can see, I have taken some liberties. Some other changes would be noticeable when I upload the top view after a few days.

In the background, the aircraft flying is LCA Tejas.

Modelled in 3ds Max.
Renderer used: Mental Ray
Textured & Post Processed in Adobe Photoshop

Note: Only the aircrafts are digitally rendered by me. The background sky is an actual photograph taken from internet.

Very cool. Have you thought about doing HAL MCA?

Thanks. Yeah, I will do HAL MCA when the prototype design is finally frozen. But it is highly unlikely that HAL will be able to do that for at least one year. Thanks for the interest though. Really appreciate it. :D

Cool. There's not enough design info about for the MCA, as I would have a go at drawing it.

Looking good Parijat.
Maybe add more specular/highlight on the plane to gives it more realistic looking.

Thanks for the tip. I was a little inspired by the dull, grainy and white finish of YF-23 so I purposefully kept the specular down. But your are right..perhaps a little more specular would have helped. Would certainly keep that in mind for the next render. :-)

Just to give you more some ideas, normally in a strong ambient lighting (like this one), the reflection will appears brightly as well.
So strong specular appears in the direct light (sun), and strong reflection in the ambient side (this case the bottom of the plane, intake etc..).
So these 2 things normally works in an opposite way. :)

I am a little confused. I understand that the top of the plane will have more specular from the sun. But what do you mean by "reflection" for the ambient side? Do you mean that ambient area should reflect the background(clouds) a little? Or do you mean that shadow in the ambient area should be less dark?
Again, thanks a ton for the tips. Really appreciate it. :-)

Theres nothing wrong with the shadow, its just the ambient side needs more reflective material looking (could be the sky reflection or etc). :)

Thanks! Its always great when an expert gives your some tips.

BTW, take a look, it seems that your copyright problem is solved. :D

Really don't understand why the second aircraft is blurred, when all the clouds in the background are totally sharp.
